Heart of Wisconsin can
assist you in obtaining financial assistance for your business location or
expansion. Incentives are available to encourage job creation, fixed asset
acquisition, and technology improvements. We can put you in touch with
low-interest financing and serve as a liaison between you and state, county, and
local organizations to get your business off to the best start.
The Heart of Wisconsin
Revolving Loan Fund is designed to be gap financing to assist with filling
equity gaps in loan packaging for business development purposes, with a priority
on job creation. It is not to be used to compete with private financial
institutions. This will be a revolving loan fund which means that as the
original funds are paid back they are available for re-lending to other
businesses in perpetuity creating new job opportunities for the area.

Wisconsin Rapids Revolving Loan Fund
The City of Wisconsin Rapids
offers fixed-interest-rate loans at a rate lower than prime with reduced equity
requirements. Start-up and expanding businesses can utilize the revolving-loan
program to construct a new building, purchase or remodel an existing building or
purchase machinery and equipment.

Tax incremental financing (TIF)
is utilized to promote industrial and commercial growth in underdeveloped areas.
